A stylised map of England that I drew up. More locations will be highlighted as the story progresses. At least, the ones that take place in England, that is.

Victoria's Palace is located in Stratford, London.

England consists of 48 ceremonial/geographic counties.

I am still deciding if I want to make some sort of changes to the counties, etc., given that the story takes place during a different time than ours.

The image seen here shows the front of the main building that makes up only a part of Victoria's Palace.

With intricate gables, turrets, bay windows, and intricate window panels, I hope this design conveys an accurate presentation of Victorian architecture.

I studied the exteriors of Victorian buildings to come up with the design. I don't really draw buildings because I find that I am terrible at it, or perhaps I'm terrible at it because I don't draw them... Anyway, all this is just to say that I am really pleased with how the design came out. I find that it feels quite Victorian and definitely seems like something Miriam would have drafted up for the architects.

As I am writing this, I am currently attempting to recall how and why I chose this specific location for the Palace. Maybe it was because of the convenient location?

The floor plan was inspired by the layouts of the different renditions of 221B. I love how cosy all of them are and I really wanted to convey that with a sort of mixed floor plan.

It was completely mapped out in my head, so I just had to bring it to fruition. I am super proud of how it came out.

(A little note: This Stratford is not to be confused with Stratford-upon-Avon. The Stratford where Victoria's Palace stands is located in the London borough of Newham.)

Whitechapel

While they never actually ended up visiting Whitechapel itself to hunt down Jack the Ripper, I thought I'd include it anyhow.

Whitechapel is located in the London borough of Tower Hamlets which is directly beside Newham, the borough Victoria's Palace is in!

Salisbury & The Manor of Cerulean

An absolutely gorgeous city in Wiltshire, Salisbury is the home of the Salisbury Cathedral and is a mere nine miles away from Stonehenge! So much history!

This is where the cerulean manor is located.

Sussex & Chichester Cathedral

The historical counties of West & East Sussex.

Shirleigh and Juniper visit the town of Rye located in East Sussex. Later their investigation takes them to Chichester Cathedral in West Sussex.

Derbyshire & Buxton
