Giselle Lestrade is a police officer from Côte d'Ivoire. Her department oversees the East End. Lestrade protests against the new police chief and encourages her coworkers to do the same to no avail for they fear of losing their jobs.
When she feels that there is no hope for the force, she leaves her position as an officer and becomes a private investigator helping those who need it most. Lestrade frequently crosses paths with Shirleigh and is often annoyed by her antics, but soon comes to respect Shirleigh as her methods prove beneficial.
Chief Inspector Lestrade was the first of the officers I designed. I wanted her to rock a natural 'fro that is kept out of her face with a headband.
I looked at references of the London Metropolitan Police for inspiration for the uniform and wanted to incorporate the checkerboard pattern that I often spotted, applying it to Lestrade's headband and the uniform's belt.
Her secondary outfit here was inspired by noir detective films.
